Music in my CD Player
It's time for another installment of the ever popular Music in My CD Player. Today's music set is a trip down memory lane - groups from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. There is a lot of variety in style, but they all make me dance around my house and get pepped up for chores!
1. The B52's - Cosmic Thing
2. Abba - Gold, Greatest Hits
3. The Best of Simon and Garfunkel
4. Van Morrison - Moondance
5. Edie Brickell and New Bohemians - Ultimate Collection
Do you remember these groups? Any special memories connected with them?

the B52's I believe I was in highschool. we were not talking at that time
abba was one of my mom's fav's and I would listen to them on the record player when she would leave the house so she would not know
edie bickell I listened to before you and we were actually living in portland in our second apartment before you went to bolivia.
I love listening to Abba, S & G and Van Morrison. No one makes music like that anymore. Did you ever see Muriel's Wedding? Abba reminds me of that. I also saw the Abba musical which was so much fun (I don't remember what it's actually called). The story was silly but at the end the actors/singers sang more songs and everyone got up and danced.
Mama Mia!
and Loved simon and Garfunkel too.
Yes, I saw Muriel's Wedding. I hadn't thought of that, it was funny how they played so much ABBA in that movie.
The B52's were around when I was in High School, but not this album. I remember at school dances they always played Rock Lobster. At the time that was the only song that I knew of them. I actually got introduced to this album by a friend in my early 20's. I think it was originally produced in the late 80's.
I have that Abba CD - very cool. I went to see the show Mamma Mia in London twice = loved it!!
Yeah! These do bring back memories. Now I have an Abba tune in my head!!
I love Simon and Garfunkel. I also love Abba, but have none of their albums - although their songs certainly get stuck in one's heads, do they not?!
ABBA? Really? I think that Phoebe and Monica know how I feel about ABBA. But Kate has that CD, too. And the Simon and Garfunkel one. And she has the B52's album on cassette. It was her favourite when she was in grade five. I'm well impressed that you've seen Muriel's Wedding, too... an Aussie movie!
