New Camera

I splurged and bought myself a new digital camera. I used to have a good film camera (SLR) with 3 different lenses, but it broke several years ago. I replaced it with a little point and shoot film camera that is okay for just everyday pictures, but I miss being able to actually compose a shot like I want it. Denis' digital camera is from back when they were relatively new. It was top of the line at the time, but quite out dated now, and I don't really know how to use it. SO, here is the camera that I bought. It was selected as a "best buy" by Consumer Reports, has some advanced features that should be useful and fun to try out and it has a 10x zoom. If you clink on the photo above, it will take you to the Fuji website to see the specs. I'm so excited!

You want to see the inside or the outside, Nix?

I took some "house tour" photos before, but I don't have a digital copy of those. So I will have to take some new ones for you.

I am jealous....but happy for you. Looking forward to pictures.

I think having a descent camera would open a lot of blogging opportunities. A lot of times, I'll think of domething I'd like to blog about...but then I think, "Oh, but I don't have a way of taking a picture of it." So then I don't blog about it.

Have fun!

I like seeing pics of your life. Helps me get to know you. I still like the soggy photo of Denis in Duluth. I like the composition.

Priscilla, I blog about stuff even if I don't have a picture for the post. But I am looking forward to being able to use pics more easily on my blog. :o) I'll let you know how it is. Weren't you looking to buy a new camera a while back? What did you decide?

Kris, I really like that picture of Denis too. I like the caribou coffee cup in his hand, the rocks, the misty sky and the city behind him. I agree that the composition is cool. (I took it with my point and shoot.)

I was looking to buy a camera. You are right...but then my old one dried out and actually worked again. So...seeing how we have bills to pay, shoes to buy for the children,etc...we decided to be frugal and go without the new camera for now. Boo hoo!

It's called being responsible with the budget. *sigh* Maybe someday.

LM1, you talkin' to me?

I think it got sand in it somehow. One too many beach trips. I keep meaning to take it into a shop to see about getting it fixed, but haven't yet.
