Silly Cats!
Meet Phoebe and Monica. They share our house with us and keep us entertained most days. Read about some of their escapades in a previous post.
Monica has decided that fresh water is the best and you get it right out of the tap! When she follows me into the bathroom and jumps into the tub, the message is clear. "I will have a drink now, thank you." Since she has some early kidney disease and is supposed to drink extra water, I indulge her.
Phoebe is the social butterfly. She always wants to be around the action. If company comes, Phoebe is sure to stay around to see what will happen. She often follows me around the house to whatever room I am in. Here she is "helping" me with the laundry. (her job is to decorate it with lovely soft fur).
There is great competition for the coveted spot on my desktop when I am there. Denis' desk does not have so much lovely room, and he does not appreciate cats sitting atop his computer keyboard. So my desk is the happening place. Most days there is a restless shifting and jockeying for position. But every once in a while, both manage to squeeze into the alloted cat space.

Yes, they are sisters. They were strays found as kittens hanging out at an apartment complex. I got them when there were adolescent-types - about 6-9 months old.
How cute. I am slightly allergic to cats...meaning I can visit someone with a cat...but I shouldn't touch them unless I was my hands immediately. Sooner or later I am silly enough to touch my eyes or something and then it's all over! But I still like cats. I had cats growing up and I'm not sure just when my body decided to rebell against them.
I have a rather large dog. Too big to get on my computer desk. But quite often he lays at my feet.
Say...is that your blog I see on your computer in the picture?
yep, you caught me. that's my blog on the screen.
I feel like reaching into that picture and grabbing that basket before it falls!
You have beautiful "children"! They look like they get along well and how nice that they are so willing to "help" you with tasks around the house.
I checked your previous post and it is apparent that they are both much loved by their "grandmother" also.
Nix, I will definitely check that out.
Yes, Martha, they are beloved by "grandma". They stay with her when we are out of town for extended periods of time. She spoils them, buying them wheat grass, hanging up fun new toys around the house. She even abandons her bed and sleeps in the guest room because they take over her room. :o)
This is Grandma. Tracy didn't mention what a riot they are when the laser light comes out for them to chase around....Phoebe was the one racing around to catch the red light. Now it is Monica that seems to be more intrigued. As for giving up my bed to them when they are visiting while Tracy and Denis are away, it is a twin bed, and both decide they are going to also sleep, I do go to the guest room with double bed, then if they join me, it matters not. As to the wheat grass, last time I was over there, looks like they need a new supply.
Phoebe and Monica's grandma
Have we mentioned that I live next door to Tracy. Now do you all think that is a good thing or a bad thing??????? :0)
Maybe Phoebe, being the social butterfly that she is, is really wanting to go visit Grandma when she tries to escape. Granma's are always so much fun! Irecall getting after a 3 year old once and he looked me striaght in the eye and said "Tomorrow I'm going to Grandma's."
